16. Business communication skills, public speaking and preparation for PITCH – the second part
In the introductory part of the class, each participant was given suggestions related to the presentation of business models, with the aim of improving them. Adequate presentation tools were provided so that participants could evaluate and raise the level of presentation skills through the exercise process (tools for preparing presentations, preparing presenters and techniques for effective presentation).
The participants realized the exercise of a short presentation of their business models in the form of an Elevator Pitch, after which they received feedback and a demonstration of advanced techniques for effective business presentations.
Guidelines related to the Pitch Deck are given, presenting the types and key elements of the Pitch Deck. The participants received materials in the form of sublimated units that were the topic of the previous classes, and now as a function of the content of the key elements for their Pitch Deck presentations.
The most common mistakes that can be encountered in their presentation are presented, adequate examples from real work are shown, as well as ways in which participants can prevent possible mistakes, with concrete examples and professional advice.
As useful auxiliary tools, the concepts of Storytelling and The Story Canvas were presented, with the aim of presenting the business ideas of the participants as efficiently as possible.
