Marina Tomović

Title: Full Professor

 Marina Tomovic has graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Belgrade in 2001. She enrolled at doctoral studies in 2008/2009 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac, and completed them in 2014 by defending her thesis titled “Examination of the Antimicrobial, Antiinflammatory and Antihistaminic effects of the extracts Potentilla reptans L.”. In 2018, she passed the specialist exam in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Kragujevac and obtained the title of Specialist in Pharmaceutical Technology.
From 2001 to 2008, she was employed in the state pharmaceutical chain “Apotekarska ustanova Kragujevac” in Kragujevac, as a licensed pharmacist, and from 2005 to 2008, she held the position of pharmacy manager and central procurement manager.
Since 2008, she has been employed at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Kragujevac, at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, and since 2024, she has been working as a Full Professor.
Marina Tomovic participated in an international project, and she was also the leader of two projects carried out by the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Kragujevac. She is the author of the book “Pharmaceutical Technology” for Basic Education at IASF. So far, she has been a mentor for two completed doctoral dissertations and one specialist work in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. She is the author of numerous articles published in international journals of category M20. Her research focuses on optimizing the incorporation of plant extracts and essential oils into various pharmaceutical forms/carriers for dermal/transdermal applications.
