15. Business communication skills, public speaking and preparation for PITCH – the first part

Participants work on the first versions of their business models and acquire knowledge in order to present them efficiently and effectively.
In the first class of this thematic unit, the concept of communication was presented through defining and clarifying the basic purpose of communication in business, understanding the model of the communication process with its elements, as well as identifying the key influences of the environment on business communication.
A practical exercise was carried out that showed the key factors and techniques of efficient and effective business communication. Participants learned key techniques and skills of interpersonal and group communication. A special focus was on understanding the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication and the so-called reading their signs.
In the part of public performance, the class was focused on conveying professional experiences through a graphic representation that every good public performance has its own adequate preparation, structure and answers to key questions: Who is the audience, what do they care about and what is the goal? The topics of the 10-20-30 rule, IMPULSE, with adequate techniques for their implementation are also covered.
