Nenad Zlatić

Title: Teaching Assistant

Nenad Zlatić was born on September 2, 1991, in Ivanjica, Republic of Serbia, where he completed his primary and secondary education with excellent results. He enrolled in undergraduate studies in Biology in the 2010/11 academic year at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac. He graduated on September 3, 2012, with an average grade of 9.48 and earned the title of Biologist. In the 2013/14 academic year, he enrolled in the Master’s academic program in Biology. He defended his final thesis on July 1, 2015, with a grade of 10.00 and completed his studies with an average grade of 9.95, obtaining the academic title of Master Biologist. In the 2015/16 academic year, he began doctoral studies in Biology at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac. He was appointed as a research trainee in the field of Biology on March 9, 2016, and as a research associate in the field of Biology on March 13, 2019, at the Institute of Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac. He was appointed as an assistant in the specialized scientific field of Plant Morphology, Phytochemistry, and Plant Systematics at the Institute of Biology and Ecology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, University of Kragujevac on September 14, 2022. He obtained the academic title of Doctor of Science in Biological Sciences on December 26, 2023. He conducts practical classes in undergraduate studies at the Institute of Biology and Ecology, covering subjects such as Plant Ecology, Plant Ecology and Geography, Systematics of Higher Plants 2, Practical Work and Field Research in Ecology, Synecology, Fundamentals of Ecology, and Fundamentals of Biology.

Nenad Zlatić engages in scientific research in the field of botanical sciences, studying the ecological variability of different plant ecological groups on various substrate types, heavy metals, the impact of substrates on the morpho-anatomical characteristics of plants, eco-physiological adaptations, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of plant extracts and essential oils, determining the biological activity of extracts, geometric morphometry, and machine learning.
